Efstathios Chronis was born in Vlachokerasia in 1972. He graduated from the Vlahokerasia Gymnasium (Junior High School) and from Tegea Lyceum (upper secondary school). He also graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Thessaloniki Aristotelian University and the Military Corps Officers School in 1995 as a veterinarian officer under the rank of Second Lieutenant. He successfully graduated from all schools referred to with a rank and a specialty. He has followed postgraduate education in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine specializing in Microbiology.
He has participated, with more than twenty scientific papers in Greek and international conferences. In addition, he has five publications in Greek and international scientific journals.
He has served in various positions as Veterinarian Officer and Food Microbiologist, as director of the Veterinary Support Detachment of 492 General Military Hospital, as a staff officer at national headquarters and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF-Afghanistan) whose main subject is food hygiene and preventive medicine.
He is married with Ekaterini Papapostolou and he has a daughter.
